the feeling of ciggie smoke down my lungs makes me sick...and being the biology student..i really don't appreciate tar and nicotine and carbon monxide in my precious system...

to my friends who are smokers...this has nothing to do with you...i still love you... but hopefully you know what you're doing to your body....

everytime i discover a friend of mine who smokes... i try to conceal my shock/surprise...sometimes i just wonder why you know its bad..but you still do it...yeah i know...sometimes you just can't help it... but the things i can't help are not things that will harm my body...

ok i'm not making sense....

and i also just learnt in some insitutions people exchange illegal drugs like pot...secretly of course...i have no idea how true this piece of information is..but it just saddens me.

and i don't understand why people drink so much to get high...as usual...as a bio student...your liver!!! was just reading a feature article in Juice mag...about the effects clubbing has on your body...and it ain't pretty...your head, brain, ears, mouth, skin, hands, feet, liver, kidneys, heart are all affected....mostly in a bad bad way....

"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. "
1 John 2:15-17

these verses means so much to me...and keeps me so grounded... it's amazing how reading the Lord's word is just so calming... during ypg the pastors have taught us a lot on the matter of worldly things...how we should never be tempted and how we should never love the world and give up God for the world. this world is filled with horrible things, things that harm, things that are evil, things that are just plain bad... and these temptations are all over...a good friend of mine just smoked his first ciggie in army..peer pressure...and he promised me not to smoke it again...

it's just so easy...and sometimes it's hard to find that courage to say NO... i have to find this strength in the Lord. i have to trust Him with all my heart. and so far He has blessed me and kept me...which i'm so thankful for...i MUST say NO to harmful worldly things...and keep away from worldly friendships... just as pastor was teaching at last ypg..it's so hard to find a friend that can truly be your best-est (is there such a word?) friend...and that you can cultivate a godly friendship with...*smiles*
