was thinking about fear. how no matter who we are, i believe that we are fearful of something.
fear of pain. fear of loss. fear of scary insects. fear of heights. fear of water. fear of confined space. fear of death. so many many ~phobias. we are all frightened by different things.
so when the host of fear factor proclaims, "evidentally, fear is not a factor for you" to the winner of the episode, neahhhh...i don't think so....
"But He said to them, 'Why are you fearful O You of little faith?' Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm."
- Matthew 8:26So when the disciples were on a boat with Jesus passing through the Sea of Galilee, and a great storm broke out. and i'm reminded of hurricanes katrina and rita and the typhoon that just slammed China. and the disciples panicked and woke Jesus from His sleep, asking Him to save them from the storm.
faith. the only concept that can conquer fear. the concept that is the hardest to learn of all. Jesus threw this challenge to the disciples and they failed. i wonder how would i fare.
fear of death is something we all grapple with. yet some people can choose death as an end to their troubles. last time i used to fear death. actually i do fear it now, but not so much. trying to exercise faith in the Lord and His word.
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if i go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know."
- John 14:1-4the words Jesus uttered to the disciples. and pastor shared this with us during alex's funeral. it's so comforting that there's a place for us in Heaven. that when we go, Jesus would be there to receive us.
you gotta have faith. :)

just bumping around 'cos i'm too bored with my 30% assignment.i don't like it when my school's resource room is noisy. i love it when it's all peaceful and quiet and people are quietly typing on their computers or laptops or studying. right now it's so noisy that i can hear them through my ipod.i feel like going back to my room where it's all quiet. but there's no aircon there.yes i'm hard to please.my school is not even at it's full population. there're still 3 more cohorts of biomed science students to come in.argh. so noisy. we need another room.exams are coming...yep. sigh. somehow it's getting so monotonous. i wished like for one sem everything would change. we'd not have exams and we'd do cool stuff like play with bacteria and do CSI stuff.now you know why going for INSTEP/GIP is such an attractive prospect.coming back to hard to please part...sam yesterday commented nothing seem to please me. haha~ i was complaining of a too-sour caesar's salad dressing, not-too-fresh prawns and one grilled calamari instead of fried ones among my fried calamari in our seafood platter at fish & co. yesterday was date night you see. when you're dating a CS boy he tends to be in the editing lab 24/7 so a date night must happen. no more spontaneous dates. ok lah~ shall not be such a complain queen. watching the final product of his 24/7 absence from hall is quite satisfying. i can see the hard work put in. (:anyway the points system is abolished. brings us much inconvenience. oh well... doesn't help i have many friends in the union exco, including the president and VP. and hon gen and asst hon gen and financial controller. ha~ plus a couple more. now cannot bitch about the union's inefficiency. instead must go complain to them. not that i mind. the president already knows i'm super critical of them.ok union people don't kill me.*****anyway anyway, i went for alex's encoffining service and funeral. it was really so sad to see. as i went up to offer my condolences to winston, annie and mike, as i see the tears in auntie annie's eyes i couldn't help but cry too. as i listen to sp kenneth and pastor, ohman....i just couldn't help it. the courage of the parents, mike's faith, and the fact that we can take comfort in - that alex is called home to be with the Lord and is in a better place in good hands. (: following that we even celebrated mike's 21st birthday.taking comfort in His word.

If every drop of water disappeared from the landAnd every drop of ocean suddenly turned to sandThat would all be nothing compared to what i feelIf you didn't love meWhat if i woke up and couldn't hear a soundAnd all that i could see was darkness all aroundThat would still be nothing compared what i feelIf you didn't love meIf i could have the world and all that money could buyAnd i could travel far beyond the moon and the skyIf they gave me golden wings well i still couldn't flyWithout you nothing would matterYou and i walk beside each other day after dayBut there's so much inside me i never get to saymy life would be so empty with nothing left to feelIf you didn't love meIf you didn't love me-Corrinne May

IE can't read my template. seems opera and safari and IE:mac has no problems. too lazy to twinkle my template...but for the sake of u PC users out there..i shall go home to my pc and find out what's wrong.
the holidays have come and gone. in retrospect it has been quite ok. i did study ok! only to spend 3 whole days on one single lecture which span 4 long chapters in my textbook. i did play too. there was our block 36 steamboat+yeh yang. it was so fun! shopping for the food, preparing it and finally cooking it with my lovely friends. had tons of laughs and happy memories too. we sat around and talked till 1 plus before rushing for the toilet to bathe...
then went JB with sam. quite fun! 'cept was bogged down by horrid menstrual cramps. ssiigghh....sometimes it sucks being a girl. in the end i bought 2 boho skirts and 1 paul frank top from FOS. not enough!! (:
school has started..so has all the wsc work... preparing for subcomm thank you dinner and handover. the girls are complaining about the shrinking of our main comm tee. haha~ and the guys are doing zero point for our item. super hilarious time of jumping in wsc room. the quiz was 25 MCQs...30%!!! ohman.... have a biostats assignment worth 30% due in 4 weeks...darn...need to start studying!! exams again.....
joining next yr's promethus again. it was fun! my family had a good laugh when they learn i was in this year's too. hmmmphh... was just talking on msn to our union president. quite nice to talk to him. haha can complain to him about stuff...points system...tribune issues...transparency... convenient... he evil-y wants me to run wsc president next year or even in my final year. crazy.... i still wanna go GIP/INSTEP... think it's too good an experience to give up for a comm position.
duh. it's non-negotiable.
just thinking about men and sperms. (in my defense i was studying sexual reproduction in humans chapter for my quiz ok....i'm not a sex maniac). how the sperm's one and only aim is to get itself into the egg (ovum) and inject it's DNA (23 chromosomes) into the egg cell. its structure is built around this ONE function. it contains nothing but the all important DNA and the rest is to aid the sperm in the delivery and motility.
then u see the egg. it has all the nutrients the developing cell needs. it has all the necessary factors required, all the enzymes, all the transcription regulators and all. everything the egg cell needs to become a ball of cells and able to potentially become LIFE. and then the woman carries the embryo to full term and it becomes an infant.
so if u look at it in a certain way, sperms are quite useless. other than the all important DNA it contributes...there's nothing else.
haha i'm evil. anyway men are kiasu too. they have to manufacture millions of sperm a day and every ejaculate carries 400 million sperms. that's a whole lot of them. and you just need ONE to do the job. oh well..a lot of them don't make it anyway.
oh..it's also interesting to note how in JC and uni...the chapter on copulation is always skipped. and as always, my curious for biology mind will go read it. hurhur.
need sleep. i need motivation to study again. i wish i could like take motivation as a pill.... just swallow it and it'll be fine.
i like my new big sasha's bear. it's still nameless! sam and i still havent come to a consensus...

somehow as i listen to bo bice and Lynyrd Skynyrd's american idol rock-ed version (which is very nice by the way) i can't help but whine that singapore should have such nice songs about herself. or songs that can be jazzed/rocked or just revamped and still sounds so good and catching and passes down through the generations.
i have a splitting headache from too much sun today. it was inter-tutorial games! i only appeared after lunch ha. but still had fun! made new friends, both seniors and juniors alike. played 2 full games of netball under the blazing afternoon heat, proceeded to slack under the shady trees and talk with renchun and edward who joined us later. watched the guys play street soccer. then went to play basketball. now evening already so not so hot. after the game went to watch the guys play again and talked to nicolay, from that-country-whose-name-i-can't-spell. kha-zaks-tan. is it? anyway learnt more things about his country and told him all about singapore food. haha~ then went to help with the BBQ fire. then it was dinner! we had a pit to ourselves and had chicken fillet, satay, sotong balls, sambal sotong and stingray, banana+nutella, sweet potato, nuggets, sausages. basically just yummy. got lightsticks, sparklers and mooncake somemore leh. =) left early to come home.
argh! the monday right after the hols is a horrible physiology quiz and the deadline for microbio labreport!! oh nooo...my brilliant prof can squeeze 3 pages of content in the text into one single slide. so much to study! and just now i was studying the brain while i had my headache. how ironic. ha~
monday went to watch Be With Me with sam. the movie by eric khoo which is by far one of the best movies i've ever saw in my life. i shall not even call it a movie as it doesn't do it justice. it's a film. a very very good one. the story weaves between 3 very deep and touching love stories which is distinctly singaporean yet still possesses universal themes of love, unrequited love to be more precise, depression, death. love and death, depression seem total opposites right. but it's actually more related than you think. as the sotry unfolds, in the beginning you feel very disjointed. the 3 stories are told independently of each other, so it's as though you're watching 3 short films, but you're seeing one for 5 mins, then another one for 10 mins then the 3rd for 2 mins then the 2nd one and so on. but as you watch, more and more hints start to appear and they can be quite surprising and puzzling. hints as to character development or story development. some just appears out of nowhere in some dialogue but some needs a bit more digging. ok i'm no longer making sense.
anyway you'll only see the full picture at the end where you see how the 3 stories inter-connect with one another. how one life affects the other. how it is like living in total silence and darkness. and eric khoo actually is very generous with the silence, a lot of the dialogue is told thru' sms or subtitles (when it came to theresa chan's story who is visually handicapped and hearing impaired). her story is one of inspiration and determination and all that. many people in my cinema laughed at how she spoke. so evil. she talks like that because she only learnt speech after her hearing failed i think. which resulted in distortion of the sppech patterns and timbre. argh. there's so much more to it. i can't even put it into words without sounding incoherent. so just go watch it! besides the story, the music is good! done by local people (one from the pbservatory - highly acclaimed local band also sam's favourite). music is good but real depressing. all in minor keys. ok not all but most. editing must have been a big thing since its like 3 stories in one film, but yeah. and cinematography is good. not even expertise to elaborate. but go watch it!! it's real good. even sam who is hard to please says its a work of a genius. so there~
ohyah~ i dyed my hair! ok not i dye...my hair stylist dyed it 3 colours! one base colour (dark copper-red) plus 2 highlights (red and blonde). it's expensive cos of 3 colours + cut + treatment. so don't ask me how much it is. anyway everyone says it's nice. =) but i think i look very lian. which is apt cos i'm a lian anyway. right down to my name. haha~ i did it yesterday then went to meet melody to walk around and shop. we went to eat tuesday half price waffles at gelare. good that we both were hungry. =) so niceee.... then went to check out this super nice italian cafe at raffles city called menotti. we shared a chocolate souffle! it's so so so nice....the place has nice decor and ambience. nice chill out place with gd music. just a tad expensive. $9 for the souffle. then mel wanted to try levi's jeans so we went...then went to check out biotherm goods (since we both are biotherm loyal customers). then had to go for my secretariat subcomm meeting. which was rather long but quite fun lah. got friends around to joke ard with. and meet new people!
now holidays spending time at home...abit paranoid about the dengue situation around. i've gotten mosquito bites!! i just hope hope and hope and pray that it's not dengue infected ones...aarrgghh.....
need to study....study study study......

hurricanes and typhoons are creating havoc. it's so devastating watching everything, yet so touched to see the stars rallying together at telephone lines and performing and urging people to donate.
yet another body parts murder... this time filippino maids!! ohmygoodness....
i wanna watch be with me. ok out of point.
anyway moving on to happier things...yesterday's celebrate-the-start-of-recess outing with my dearest tutorial mates was a blast! starting with shopping at factory outlet store at holland v...then XO fish slice bee hoon...and zi char dishes..ate until i almost burst. then was teas+chill out at essential brew. =) nice place to just hang around and talk. had a wonderful time. =) thanks a lot guys.
ohoh i passed up my stem cell assignment and 3 lab reports!! exhilirating...
today spent many hours at boys hostel. it was family day. so the boys brought their families and had a day of fun, games and talent-time and food! we decorated the place...had lunch...helped set up colouring-competition and judge it. then had high tea buffet which was good! from elsie's kitchen. then we watched the talent-time where the boys performed...it was good! and real heart-warming to see them here doing things like these rather than outside joining gangs and rioting.
then went to church for a YAG mooncake festival special fellowship. missed the worship. made it just in time for the mooncake-making masterclass. ha~ it's so interesting! and we all broke into groups and DIY! so nice. me and edwin did it for our group. not bad. it looked decent. haha~ actually its really quite easy to make. then we ajourned to the rooftop for dinner. so nice!! it was windy and the view was nice and the place was decorated with lanterns with a paper hanging from it. on it was a riddle which we were supposed to guess. my team, blue team won! haha~ i managed to solve some. dinner was yummy. it was potluck with food from everywhere. had a wonderful time fellowshipping.
i'm so tired from this week. so so tired. apart from usual school stress and all...with relationship woes (which are getting resolved..thankfully..)...it's a long long week. thankful for this break.
just watch house. i think its the best medical dramedy ever! it's both so heart-wrenching but yet so funny. this episode deals with a mysterious disease that hit 2 babies and subsequently spread to 4 other infants (who were showing mild symptoms) in the hospital. they took a bacterial infection approach and placed them on 2 of their strongest antibiotics. then their kidneys started to fail as a side effect from one of the drugs. so they had to take one drug off. but it may kill them if that drug was the one that was fighting the disease. so how to choose? dr. house had no choice but to take one each off each of the 2 babies. risk one baby to save 5 others. it was a tough choice. how could u condemn one baby to death? but as a doctor...i guess you have to do what's best for all involved.
then one of the babies died....so they increased dosage for the other working antibiotic in the rest. after autopsy of the dead infant dr. house discovered a severely damaged heart and led to cardiac tissue damage and subsequently heart failure. then the other babies were not responding to the antibiotic! oh nooo...
then they realised it was a viral infection!! ohmygoodness...then they started to brainstorm for virus that are confirmed not and the "maybes" judging on symptoms and the autopsy results. then narrowed it down to 3 viruses which were isolated in the blood of the infected infants. but only one virus is killed the first one cos she didn't have the antibodies from the mother. ('cos antibodies are passed from mother to infant during pregnancy). so they tested the blood of the mother and found antibodies for only 2 of the viruses. the culprit was echo 11 virus. which lodges in the intestines of adults and causes diarrhea etc. but like all viruses, it can be fought by your own immune system generating its own antibodies. (that's why when u have the inFLUenza virus, you shouldn't be taking antibiotics! antibiotics are only for bacterial infections.) but infants do not have a developed immune system. that's why it was so lethal, it killed the baby.
ok anyway i wouldn't have understood if not for my microbiology lectures. so there. relevant ok my studies.
but i like it alot! =) the show i mean. anyway word of caution which was mentioned in the show and by my microbio prof...
do not take antibiotics when you don't need them!! some doctors just prescribe you antibiotics because they couldn't isolate your problem. so they think antibiotics will do the trick. but in fact....your body may build up resistance towards these antibiotics! so the next time u really need them, it wouldn't work anymore.
so scary. u know how tiny viruses are? and yet they kill so lethally...just look at HIV..we still can't win.
sigh.

oh well. tmr's the deadline. so by hook or by crook i must get it done by tonight. smoke my way through dozen pages (current status: 15 pages and counting) of horrifying analysis of stem cells and how they get so tired after you move them around they can no longer function.
sam just came along and annoyed me again. i wonder if it's PMS. argh. why does he think everything is a joke?
everyone thinks we are so compatible. but deep now, we're 2 completely different people.
just thinking about it is depressing.
just read about another breakup. sigh. as if worrying about another girlfriend's untrustable boyfriend is not enough.
why do we drama-tise our life till the point we become miserable?
is it all worth it in the end?
before i slip into relationship-stem cell depressive mood...
the new ipod nano is sosososo pretty!! ohmygoodness.... my greedy self tells me to save more money for it. argh.
double argh.
even the name is scientific... kudos to apple for a creative name for the ipod. instead of the usual ipod mini (duh...) and ipod photo (duh duh...)...check out www.apple.com for more info.
i want....
hovering somewhere between happiness and sadness...with no one to turn to.
Lord please help...

the weekend is over in a flash.
just realised i forgot to invite the person who would appreciate the hall production most to come down and watch it. darn.
weekend passed by so quickly. let's see. went to comex exhibition. now the proud owner of a new small stylo external HDD with leather pouch! and my mum asked me to buy a new sony memory stick for her picture takings. no more 512MB, so buy 1GB lor. haha~ bit much...oh well. anyway it was SOOOOOOO crowded. i could hardly breathe properly.
then left early for church. pastor mitch talked about the grace of the Lord, which i oh-so-often take for granted, but i try not to! how to be strong in the grace of the Lord. how to be strong in the face of life's challenges. be it stress, school problems, relationship problems, spiritual problems. His grace is abundant and so available to us. we need to trust in His strength and not our own. just like a good christian soldier. to be able to endure hardship, like what Paul tells Timothy.
" You, therefore, must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ."
2 Timothy 2:3most importantly, must not entangle ourselves with affairs of the world. this point is re-emphasized here, and is repeated all over 1 John. things of the world extraps us and draws us away from God.
this must not happen.
"You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus."
2 Timothy 2:1must be strong. as work piles up in school. today as i sat in microbiology lecture, can;t help but wonder how in the world am i going to memorise all that! ohman...information overload.
there's a matter of assignments and labreports.
and there's also wsc work - finally handed over centre head duties to angellia. thank goodness. or i'll just collapse and die. now gotta worry about my secretarial duties. argh.
and my lovely VP just ask if i could chair some minor projects! ohmygoodness....
i need superhero genes.
point-to-note: jokes cracked by biology students are really one-of-a-kind. and if you're biologically inclined, you'd find them so amusing, it's actually so funny it's therapeutic. and it helps with memorising and understanding. hurhur. :) stemmed from tr. chen kee-tj bio days. nowadays with reproduction lectures and mammary glands stuff...these bound to come up. :D
holidays!! planning to have fun and enjoy+study for stupid 201 test before it's all the way to exams. all over again.
oh! haven't finished rambling about my weekend! after church came home to family dinner. yummy as usual. got new dishes to sample. very nice...aahhh...had bellini's (peach + nice moet champagne) and japanese palm sake. nicenice...had mooncakes from hilton hotel! so nice....
sunday was slack day plus a whole lot of tv (ed, desperate housewives, CSI:miami, without a trace, joy luck club) and some work. plus family simple dinner and mooncakes! we watched the joy luck club, based on the book by amy tan. i quite like her 'cos i learn a lot about the chinese culture from her books.
actually quite poignant to watch joy luck club, about 4 women and their grown-up daughters. talks about 3 generations of chinese women. 1st - born, bred and died in china. 2nd, born in china, later migrated to america. 3rd - born in america, americans, speaks with accent, knows no mandarin at all. their different struggles, how the 1st generation women tried so hard to provide for their daughters so they won't end up having a life like theirs. poor and poor and miserable. their sorrows were painfully depicted in scenes that are just so heart-wrenching. when a mother leaves her daughter in the ends of another family. never seeing her again.
as they succeeded, the 2nd gen women, while growing up had their fair share of troubles. as they move to america things got much better but they still grapple with their horrific past and the fact they long for their mothers. as they provide for their daughters it's so different again. the narration changes to the 3rd gen women as they tell their side of the story, how their mothers expect the best of them, and whatever they did the mums were never pleased. this spoke to my heart most. for obvious reasons. and also problems with their marriage and children and all.
the narration keeps changing. but it seems more than half the film was narrated. maybe i shld go read the book. but i liked it a lot. tells a lot about the previous generations of women in china. so interesting. the 4 stories were wound together by common themes
and one very important concept of love between a mother and a daughter. how it transcends boundaries, countries, generations and individuals...

america's hit by hurricane katrina. funny how such a beautiful name is used for such a devastating natural disaster.
funny how i'm not feeling the deep urge to do my part by donating to american red cross. oh no. ok am having bit of a cash flow problem, with all the photocopying of notes and textbook buying and birthdays and celebrations and paying for my wsc main comm tee, which costs a whopping $25 (yes nice polo tee with embroidery and personalised).
but i can offer my prayers. :) may they bounce back from yet another obstacle.
clay's performing for the hurricane relief telethon! oh and my clay aiken official fan club package came in the mail! it's so kewl to have a package delivered from US! my first.
thinking about wei lian who won project superstar. as i watched him tear after his win, i wonder how is it like to not see at all. to hear and taste and feel and smell but not being able to see what they are or how they look like. to be born blind and not see anything before, and all you can do is just to imagine in your head.
i can't even put myself in those shoes.
speaking of blind, edlyn shared in choir in church once about being blind towards God's teachings and love and grace. sometimes we may think we're doing well but in actual fact, our eyes are not open.
scary huh.moving on to less scary stuff. sam is at the observatory's album launch at esplanade now. i'd have gone if it wasn't so late. so zonked out over the week. and also he's going with his CS friends and i'm in the i'm-too-tired-to-socialise mood. oh well.
recess is coming! bad sign 'cos that means the exams are coming. ohman. but i resolve to study hard and play hard!
so far spending time with hall-mates and school-mates have been a blast. even hanging out with wsc people is so fun. =) i love our go-to-JP-for-lunch in between classes thing with my tutorial mates where we just chill out and laugh a lot. and our routine outings to eat XO fish slice beehoon at holland V followed by nice music and chill at wala's... and even though conversations can turn to something RA (esp reproduction lectures haha~) and i holler in protest (today's a classic example, where edward rambled on about mass orgy), it's still funny and fun.
haha~ =)
i wanna watch house on starworld!! it's real funny lah.
some quirks from dr. house.
House: Does your penis hurt?
Patient: ( outraged ) No! ( then worried ) Should it?
House: No. Just thought I'd toss you a REALLY inappropriate question.
Dr. Eric Foreman ( neurologist working on House's team ): I thought treating patients is why we became doctors?
Dr. House: NOOOO, treating illnesses is why we became doctors. Treating patients is what makes most doctors miserable.
and i'm glad gilmore girls is back. so along with all 3 seasons of CSI and without a trace, my weekends are for nice tv. =)
ahhh...michael buble is coming to singapore! i wanna gooo....i also wanna go watch quidam...and snow.wolf.lake...
no $$$....
time for some work to be done.
This girl posted at 10:57 PM
too tired to study anymore. the 204 quiz was too horrible and the studying+the quiz itself is really tiring. everyone thought so. even my bioengine friends.
sighrewarded myself with a night of non-studying. came back from wsc and talked to many hall friends. then watched project superstar (amazing..kelly didn't win.) then the OC with sam. then surf the net for awhile...
sleepy.
being in wsc main comm is defnintely busy busy busy. i'm bombarded with emails everyday. and contrary to popular opinion, honorary general secretaries are not slackers! we don't get points for nothing ok. there's a whole lot of work to do ok. between taking minutes and forming a subcomm and uploading CCA points for hundreds of members, there's still booking of facillities, liaising with SAO and other CCAs, taking mail, and a whole host of other responsibilities. no wonder there's asst. hon gen but no asst. financial controller.
another grouse is that people think wsc takes care of the welfare of NTU students. nonononoooooooo.....
we're a voluntary organisation that is even registered with national council of social services and we work very closely with ministry of community development, youth and sports. we have people who volunteer on a regualr basis with the delinquent youth, elders, hearing impaired, visually handicapped and intellectually disabled. then we have a whole host of other committees that support. secretariat, finance, business managers, publicity, publications, social, media and info etc. and of course volunteer management (again misleading name since we have nothing to do with managing volunteers), which organises voluntary events for NTU students.
yes we're a very big CCA, but we've got a big heart too. :)
*end of publicity for wsc, aka welfare services club*
"this is the day that the Lord has made, we'll rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalms 118:24
so even though i had a long tiring day, extremely traumatising and grouchy, still...be ye glad. :)
and i'm glad this day is over. amd i'm glad for this moment of rest.

argh.
many many things to do. includes studying, tutorials, labreports, stem cell assignment, WSC secretariat stuff which is A LOT (yes i got co-opted into WSC main comm. long story.), WSC VM financial reimbursement stuff, still doing centre head stuff for youth 'cos my dear bosses still wanna interview my successor.
on top of going to hall JCRC elections rally, IBG stuff, more WSC meetings, meeting people... and all the rest i cannot remember after a super traumatising quiz, left me so tired and drained.
let's talk about happier stuff! promethus was a success! my first hall production and first time being a crew member in a play! so cool. apart from minor incidents, which we skillfully recitified during the show to make it look smooth and earned us praises from our dearest director and stage manager. it was fun being in the lights/sound control room with linhui and fahmi. plus there's always left-over reception food. :)
then on monday NTU celebrated her 50th bday, while my school got its official opening from PM lee hsien loong. big affair i tell you. consisting of bomb sweeps, very strict securities and a whole lot of VVIPs. not to mention pretty fireworks that were set off above my school. not as long as NDP's lah. but how cool is it? to have fireworks at NTU for the opening of MY school? :) we were all so delighted. ok especially me. girl who's always fascinated with fireworks. then was buffet dinner by who else but CJS catering. and FIR came to perform a 40 min set! 6 songs. and they were really really good, even live! super impressed.
