torn.

long time no blog.

it has been nonstop madness. somehow blogging took the 76th position on my to-do list.

many many things happened since my last entry. ok not a lot. considering how mundane my life is now. wake up. study. eat. talk. laugh. snack. nap. study. check emails. study. eat. talk. bathe. snack. sleep. not in this order obviously.

the exams are really taking a toll on everybody in bioscience. not just me. everyone looks either zonked out, stoned, damn tired, or those who look suspiciously happy are those who have resigned to their fate of doom. i'm struggling to focus. to focus on the Lord's strength which i know He so abundantly gives it to me but yet i'm just so distracted to harness it. not to mention many other issues that crop up and i have no idea what i'd do if sam was not around to listen to me and talk and lend me a shoulder to cry on.

i have a million things to do. a million lectures to memorize. but yet all i wanna do is sleep. and watch tv. just got lost episodes yay.

just came from watching the prestige at the spanking new and nice vivocity GV with super wide comfy seats and leg room that rivals singapore airlines business class. ok not that much. i liked the movie. its smart and twisty. the plot is excellent. acting ok lah. although i'm biased towards hugh jackman and christian bale and the old guy michael caine. christopher nolan is a really gifted director and storyteller!! he manages 10000 flashbacks of different people at different times so smoothly and yet we still understand what's going on! i guess this frequent organized chaotic flashbacks contributed to the long running time of the movie. which sam thinks its so draggy. hey LOTR is worse ok. 3 hours. who can beat that? i love the plot the best. the nuances, the little clues that all make sense once you reach the end. the parallels. the issues.

i wanna shop at vivo. so many of my favourite shops in one shopping centre. sam and i went to 2 different places for dinner. the hokkien prawn noodles at food republic, though expensive, is really really good! rivals the bedok south one, opposite tj. then nice curry pork katsu don at sushi teh, thanks to pastor mitch's recommendation. =) i love eating. went meiji factory today again. bought many snacks. arghhhh jeans getting tighter.

weeks ago was YAG retreat, which i was so glad that i was able to go for more than half of the sessions. thanks to the deepa-raya long weekend. theme was 'a fruitful life' and i learnt so much. i was just thinking about thanksgiving that's coming up in the US and i'm so thankful that the Lord places special people in my life to help me through it all. i know i'd be a total wreck without sam and my life has taken another direction since 2 years ago. i know things will never be the same without the pastors and teachers and friends from bethany. i know school will never be as much fun without carlene ed rc champ andrea angie samuel and so many more. esp champ who is always sharing his research and lab reports with his poor struggling friends.

now as exams draw near i have a renewed sense of thankfulness to the Lord for Him! that i know Him and i know He'll be there and not only that, He goes before me and prepares to road ahead. He loves and He gives without receiving. He, who is all-knowing and powerful, would care to know my name. that my prayers would be answered in time. that He is my King.
